Pronouncement problems in Professional voice impairment - general considerations (preface to the problem)

The aim of this study is to describe health status of working by voice in addition to Work code and pension pronouncement. The chronic voice disease became the occupational disease in Poland in 1974 and now is the most frequently diagnosed occupational disease, but from 1999 we could observe decrease number of cases. After diagnosis, the injured person has the right to compensation and disability pension. There are pronouncement problems: no synonymous criteria of compensation and disability, no synonymous criteria to qualify to work (possible qualify to other work, ability to work for persons with the right to the pension or without, still unsatisfactory diagnostics before qualifi cation to work with risk to voice and before the fi rst work and other. It is necessary to develop a comprehensive elaboration on prophylaxis care, including the harmful infl uence of work to the health of those working with voice.
